This is a charming bungalow built in 2004, in the community of Brookhaven. The young couple knew this home would need a major renovation to fit their aesthetic, but the footprint and location was exactly what they needed to create their dream home. 

Having two young daughters and two dogs, they wanted a home that was cozy and reflected their family, but also was perfect for hosting and entertaining. 

We aimed to create a bright and open “hosting home”. Where it felt like a destination space, but perfect to spend the evening toasting with friends and family. We aimed to create spaces with comfortability and style. These spaces were meant to be lived in, as well as designed to last. 

The couple aided in this mission by requesting things like an open-layout kitchen and a substantial dining room with living spaces adjacent - both indoor and out. Many details such as custom dog beds and a floor to ceiling library were all the clients idea. While the builder and the designer worked together on many other details such as the kitchen layout, owners suite addition and trim details added to the entry stair wall.
