Our Task: To convert this 1950's closed galley kitchen in to a modern open chef's kitchen.
We started by demolishing the wall that divided the kitchen from the entryway and dining area. We took out the old water damaged wood floors, and installed new herringbone patterned hardwoods. Sanded and refinished the floors throughout the house, and installed new custom cabinets, including a built-in pantry, large storage drawers and custom floating shelves. We swapped the location of the range and fridge for a more functional footprint, and added an Island where there was once a "work station" or Eat-in area before.
The Result: A maximized space for storage, function and design. There is more natural light throughout the ranch style home and a customized layout for our client who loves to cook.
